    OUR POINT OF VIEW

Great home recordings don’t need more friction. They need tools that are fast to learn, hard to outgrow, and tuned for the way musicians actually work.

The first rooms are taking shape.

    A NOTE FROM ANDREW

    Hey —

I’m Andrew, and I started VirtualHouse Audio because I record music at home, and the tools I kept reaching for weren’t built for people like me.

They’re built for commercial studios — deep menus, steep learning curves, workflows that assume you have an engineer on hand. At home it’s just you: a direct input, an imperfect room, limited time, and an idea you don’t want to lose. I wanted tools that respect that — fast to learn, hard to outgrow, and honest about what every knob does.

So that’s the rule here. Every VirtualHouse plugin has to answer one question: does this help you finish a song? If a control doesn’t earn its place, it doesn’t ship. If a feature needs a manual to understand, it’s not done yet. And we’d rather build something genuinely new than another copy of what’s already out there.

We’re starting with VirtualHouse Drums — a complete drum processing plugin, from individual tracks to the bus — because that’s where so many home recordings live or die. Then VirtualHouse Vocals, VirtualHouse MixMaster, and VirtualHouse Amp Sim, in that order. And we’re bringing the same thinking to Android, so the phone in your pocket can be part of the studio too.

This is a small company, and that’s the point. When you write in, you’re talking to me.
