1. Who we are

VirtualHouse Audio is a trade name of VirtualHouse Software LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“we”, “us”). We build audio software for home-recording musicians at virtualhouseaudio.com. Contact us at support@virtualhouseaudio.com.

Purchases on this site are processed by Moonbase, our checkout and licensing provider, which acts as the merchant of record and the seller for payment and tax purposes. Your order confirmation and receipt will name Moonbase.

2. Our products

We sell audio software for Windows, delivered as downloads: VST3 plug-ins and standalone applications, activated with a license. Nothing is shipped physically. System requirements are listed with each product; please check them, and use the free trial, before buying. We cannot guarantee compatibility with every host, DAW or operating system.

Our Android apps are distributed through Google Play. Google Play’s terms apply to those purchases; sections 5 and 6 below do not.

3. Free trial

Every paid plug-in has a free 14-day trial with all features. No card is needed. When the trial ends, the plug-in stops processing audio until a license is activated.

4. License

A license is for one person. You may activate it on up to three computers you use, and deactivate a computer to move the license to another. You may not redistribute, resell, share or publish your license or installer files. Buying a product grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it; we keep all other rights.

Updates within the version you bought are free. A new major version is a separate product.

Activating or deactivating a license needs an internet connection.

Free products are covered by the free license shown in their installer: use them on any number of your computers, for personal or commercial work, with no activation.

5. Pricing and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and may change at any time; the price at checkout is the price you pay. Sales tax and VAT are calculated and collected by Moonbase where required.

6. Refunds

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which is part of these terms. In short: try the free trial first; once a license has been activated, we cannot offer a refund.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to circumvent license checks, reverse-engineer the software for redistribution, or use our products in a way that breaks the law.

8. Age

You must be 13 or older to use our products and services.

9. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in our software, branding and site content. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you. VST is a trademark of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH, registered in Europe and other countries. ASIO is a trademark of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH, registered in Europe and other countries.

10. Disclaimers

Our software is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not responsible for lost work or data. Back up your projects.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in effect when you bought applies to that purchase.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Nothing in them affects rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.
